Barefoot shoes are designed to be as close as possible to the feeling of walking barefoot. They are very light, have no offset (no heel), the sole is a few millimeters thin and very flexible. This allows the feet to feel the ground again and compensate for unevenness. This almost direct contact with the ground not only provides important information for the sense of balance, but also improves blood circulation to the feet and (re)builds the foot muscles. Healthy, strong foot muscles have an influence on the entire musculoskeletal system.

Barefoot shoes are available for women, men and children, they enclose the feet like a protective shell. Injuries caused by sharp objects are thus avoided. A barefoot shoe offers as much protection as necessary, as little shoe as possible and is therefore also called a minimal shoe. The foot is given enough space to be able to perform its natural movements.
